Here is a Lexington list and guide of the best weekend events around Central Kentucky on Friday, Saturday and Sunday if you are bored and need things to do from live music concerts and festivals, comedy shows, local concert series, theatre plays, art shows including the popular annual Woodland Art Fair, foodie events, sneaker pop-up sales and car cruises.

Berea Celtic Festival

The 13th annual Berea Celtic Festival will continue across the quaint south-central Kentucky town through Aug. 21 with everything from live music to Celtic workshops, Irish step dancing and more. Ticket prices for individual events range from free to $50. Berea-Celtic.com.

Pioneer Days at Old Fort Harrod State Park

Pioneer Days will continue at Old Fort Harrod State Park in Harrodsburg through Aug. 21. Activities include live music, a car show, wrestling, clogging, a 5K and more. Woodland Art Fair at Woodland Park

The Woodland Art Fair, one of Lexington’s most popular summer festivals, returns to Woodland Park on Aug. 20 and 21 with more than 160 artists selling their paintings and prints, pottery and ceramics, photography, jewelry, metalwork, fiber art and mixed media creations over the sprawling outdoor space. There will also be more than 20 food vendors on site. The fair is open on Aug. 20 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Aug. 21 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be no shuttle service this year, so be on the lookout for parking near the park but Kentucky Avenue will be closed to traffic. Latin Night at Pioneer Playhouse in Danville

Car cruise at Waveland State Historic Site
