I do want a full size of this so I can wear this in the day time and wear Musc Noir Rose in the evenings or for dates. I think this would be perfect to wear in any weather. It’s definitely not going to be cloying in hot weather. I think this is an easy reach perfume, you can wear it anytime for any occasion, which I love. The bottle is very beautiful as are all the perfumes by this fragrance house and I look forward to purchasing it and using it on rotation. I definitely recommend!”

Where is jasmine commonly found in a composition (top, middle, base)?

“The jasmine absolute is stronger and more concentrated in olfactory molecules and, indeed, more expensive to produce. Jasmine is often a middle note in the composition, but influences the top notes and dries down, as it has the ability to exacerbate some notes, elevate the fragrant character of other notes and accords,” Pallez explains. Because of its versatility, jasmine can lean stronger or sweeter, depending on what its paired with.

“The Jasmine scent is plural, depending first on its variety, where it comes from and finally its distillation process. The grandiflorum or sambac are the two key varieties used in perfumery, either grown in India, Egypt or the Mediterranean shores. The distillation process through steam as opposed to solvent extraction to obtain an essence or absolute will also create nuances in the final extract,” she adds.
