100 Women in White share worship message in Alliance
Members from churches in Stark, Summit and Mahoning counties were among the 100 Women in White who took part in the 26th event Sunday at Second Baptist Church in Alliance. The worship event was founded by the late Eunice to bring women from different congregations together to sing and worship God. Each year, the women prepare and put on an uplifting performance while dressed in all white to symbolize purity before God. Women from Alliance, Canton, Massillon, Sebring, North Georgetown and Akron were among the participants in this year’s performance. Taking on special roles in the event were Maurice Hatcher, who presented the devotion; Cindy King, who was mistress of ceremonies; Minister Joyce Williams, who gave the prayer; and Pastor Willie Bell of Second Baptist Church, who gave the event’s invitation to Christian discipleship and a benediction.
