10 Shows and Movies to Watch This Weekend

With so many streaming services at our disposal these days, it can feel almost impossible to settle on something to watch. Sometimes, we find ourselves scrolling and scrolling for so long that ultimately, we just end up turning off the TV and going to bed. But even when sites like Netflix offer us their most-watched titles, it still feels hard to pick among all the trending TV shows and movies (not to mention the fact that just because it's trending, doesn't always mean it's good). Luckily, we've decided to make this process a little easier by rounding up some of the best shows and movies from various streaming services in order to turn that endless scroll into a problem of the past.

From the return of smash shows like Manifest to anticipated new films like Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, here's what to watch this weekend.

1. Manifest

The story of Manifest has become legend by now. The supernatural NBC series was suddenly canceled after its third season, but due to a strong outcry from fans, the drama was picked up by Netflix and renewed for a fourth and final season. Now, the first part has finally premiered, and PureWow's Nakeisha Campbell wrote, “Manifest hasn't lost its ability to balance the supernatural and the bizarre with deeply human themes, from grief and loss to redemption. It smartly capitalizes on a formula that has always worked, revealing twist after jaw-dropping twist—but teasing just enough hints to keep viewers guessing.”

2. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

Daniel Radcliffe is trading out the wizarding wand for a guitar as he takes on the role of Alfred "Weird Al" Yankovic, a popular musician who famously makes covers of hit songs. And while we were already pumped for the biographical parody film, the hype has been raised even more now that the movie has an impressive “fresh” rating of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.
