Hyaluronic acid and glycerin can help add moisture, while non-comedogenic will keep your pores from clogging. As for which ingredients to avoid? "Detergents like sodium lauryl sulfate and other alkaline products strip away natural oils and disrupt the skin barrier, increasing transepidermal water loss," adds King.
