With San Francisco 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel on the trade block, it’s time to see who the serious suitors are.

One team that keeps getting thrown out there that can trade for Samuel is the New York Jets. Robert Saleh is their head coach and was with Samuel when he was the 49ers’ defensive coordinator.

The Jets also have a big need at the position and have already tried to take some swings during the offseason. They were a finalist for Tyreek Hill before he decided to go to the Miami Dolphins.

There were also rumors that they were looking at both A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf, but nothing ever got close.

Samuel was one of the best players in the NFL this past season as he put up great numbers at wide receiver and at running back. He finished with 1,405 yards receiving and six touchdowns off 77 total receptions and rushed for 365 yards and eight touchdowns off 59 carries.

New York would also have the draft capital to make this deal as it has two picks inside the top 10, plus the 35th overall pick in this year’s draft. San Francisco doesn’t pick until the second round with the No. 61 overall pick.

There’s definitely a match here if the Jets do want to go down this path.
