Teams “Not Interested” In Baker Mayfield At $18 Million: Fans React

On Friday afternoon, NFL insider Ian Rapoport said teams have interest in Baker Mayfield, just not at his price tag of $18 million.

“It doesn’t seem like anyone is interested at this salary,” Rapoport said. “The at this salary part is key because Baker Mayfield is unlikely to be traded at $18 million. If the Browns are able to eat some money, or the agent and new team can come up with an answer to split or deal with his salary, I believe he’ll be traded. I don’t get the sense the Browns will release him.”

Rapoport suggested Mayfield could even play for the Browns in 2022. Of course, it didn’t take fans long to start reacting to that news.

“Zero chance Mayfield will play another snap for the Browns if Watson is suspended,” one fan said.

One fan thinks there is a chance Baker comes back to prove he can play.

“Sir, The only way I see that happening is if the browns convince bake that he needs to start so he can prove to teams he can still play. Im seeing more and more bad plays of his coming out from last year. Which Im sure other teams know about,” another fan said.

Mayfield might not be traded with a price tag of $18 million, but he could re-work his deal with a new team.

Where will he play in 2022?
