Winter weddings, formals, office parties, festive get togethers and last minute invites. Between everything that's going on over the holidays it can get pretty damn hectic. Hectic enough that some of us (hello, me!) can all but forget to figure out what we're wearing (and I call myself a blogger!) which leaves us vulnerable to sweaty (sorry!) frenzied mall dashing just hours before an event is set to begin. Sound familiar? Well then I'm guessing spending a couple of hundred dollars on a dress you think is "okay" simply so you'll have something semi-appropriate to wear does too!

This year I've vowed to save myself all the holiday related hassle and have not only started buying presents already (despite my best intentions I've always left this until the very last minute which means I'm merrily wrapping presents in a room all by myself at about 11p.m. every Christmas Eve) but narrowing down my list of party perfect dresses. I've already ordered this one but I'm thinking I'll need this one and this one too.

For those of you who are still feeling a little lost, remember it's all about the three C's; classic, chic, confident.
  • Classic: You want to pick something you'll still love five or ten years from now. Trust me, at this time of year there's a lot of photographic evidence and you don't want to be left asking "what was I thinking?"
  • Chic: Think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's or Blair Waldorf anywhere. The look you're going for is elegant, sophisticated and just a little flirty! (wink!)
  • Confident: Above all you want something you feel confident in. If a dress is completely out of your color comfort zone, a little too tight or one you feel you'll have to tug at all night then ditch it. Girls who feel their best look their best and you deserve a carefree and fun night!
