Printed pants became one of our favorite wardrobe staples this spring, so it's no surprise that we're loving printed shorts for summer.

While denim cutoffs will always have a special place in our hearts, the perennial summer favorite doesn't always have a place in our office dress codes (printed shorts may not either, so make sure you double check yours before rocking the trend).

We first saw printed shorts of all kinds (ethnic prints, abstract watercolors, florals, and more) sashaying down the spring runways at Tory Burch and Isabel Marant -- just to name a couple. Next, we saw the trend crop up on some of favorites fashionable celebs, like Miranda Kerr and Olivia Palermo. If they can rock it, so we can we.
