UPDATE 7/25/2013: We can now confirm that Caroline Kennedy has been nominated by President Obama to be the newest U.S. Ambassador to Japan.

4/02/2013
Caroline Kennedy, daughter of former President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, has been in the public eye from the day she was born. With her father's political presence and her mother being such a style icon, she's had a lot to live up to!

Most recently, it has been reported that she has been tapped by the White House for an ambassadorship. Though the country will not be set in stone for a few weeks, many believe she will become the Ambassador to Japan. It is often a high profile individual that goes to Japan, and with Caroline's presence in politics over the years, as well as her famous name, we're not surprised to hear she's been selected for the role.

Kennedy's support of President Obama in 2008 was crucial, helping him secure the Democratic Nomination over former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. She has continued to support him through the years, and in his re-election in 2012.

Caroline Kennedy has always had a unique sense of style, separate from that of her style icon mother, Jackie O, but she's always had that Kennedy grace. From her years at the White House, to Harvard University and the political world today, we took a look at how her style has transformed. Click through the gallery to see for yourself!
