2014 was an incredible year for style, and some of the gowns we saw on the red carpet are going to remain at the top of our list for years to come. Blake Lively was crowned the queen of Cannes this year, wearing three different but equally stunning gowns, and the pale blue Prada dress Lupita Nyong'o wore to the Oscars might be our favorite look of the entire year.

You can always count on stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Kruger to dress to impress, and it's no coincidence that many of the looks in this list come from designers like Gucci, Armani Prive, Prada and Elie Saab.
