Woman Turns Herself In After Riding Manatee

Description:52-year-old Ana Gloria Garcia Gutierrez turned herself in to Florida's Pinellas County Sheriff's Office after authorities released pictures of her riding a manatee. HLN reports Gutierrez claims she didn't know it was illegal. Central Florida News 13 reports she's being charged with violating the Florida Manatee Sanctuary Act, which is a second-degree misdemeanor. Bay News 9 spoke with a witness, who says Gutierrez was chasing the manatees and jumping on them, despite being asked to stop. (1:02)
