Washington National Cathedral to Allow Gay Weddings

Description:The Washington National Cathedral will soon host same-sex weddings. The announcement came Wednesday on the church’s website. It says “we enthusiastically affirm each person as a beloved child of God” Same-sex marriage became legal in Washington DC in 2010. The cathedral hasn’t gotten any reservations yet, according to spokesman Richard Weinburg, but you can expect the calendar to fill up. (2:05)
