Violence in Bangladesh as Ruling Party Set to Win Election

The ballot boxes are locked and polls are closed in Bangladesh. In this violence-plagued election, Bangladesh's ruling party is poised to win. Local media is reporting that at least 18 people were killed in separate incidents on election day. Many more were injured. Six supporters of Bangladesh's main opposition party lay injured in a hospital. They were wounded by police fire, after attempting to attack a police station while they protested against the elections.
