Political Protester Gets Slap Happy, Literally

Things apparently got a little heated during a Christine Quinn mayoral rally near the now closed St. Vincent’s Hospital. George Capsis, publisher of a West Village community newsletter, interrupted the rally and reportedly slapped state senator Brad Holylman — who was holding his toddler daughter — and a campaign volunteer. The rally was held to tout Quinn’s efforts to keep hospitals open. Quinn was not present at the event.
