National Hockey League Reaches Tentative Deal

The National Hockey League (NHL) and its players reached a tentative contract agreement for the remaining 2012-13 season on Sunday (January 6) with concessions from both sides, ending a 113 days lockout and 625 games lost. The tentative verbal agreement to end the NHL lockout was reached around 5 a.m. (1000gmt) after 16 hours of talks in a New York City hotel.
