Using New Materials for Energy Renovation

Description:Forty percent of energy consumed in Europe is thought to be used to power large buildings owned by corporations. This is by far the largest hurdle in the continent’s aim to reduce carbon emissions. Approximately 80 percent of that energy is needed to heat and cool these buildings, as well as provide hot water. However, using newer materials which conduct heat better has radically reduced the need for large, energy-hungry heating and cooling systems. (1:00)
