Underground Fires Causing Serious Threats To Sacramento
Description:A wildfire started on the other side of the levy from Glenn Hall Park, near the American River, around 5:30 Sunday night.
“We got a light wind today which is really good cause if we had a heavy wind like we did the other day we would be chasing this thing all the way down to the riverfront,” said Sacramento City Fire Chief Jonathan Williams.
The two acre wild fire had its challenges. It burned partly underground when the roots of trees caught fire then jumped tree to tree.(2:01)
