SWAT Standoff Near College Campus Turns Deadly

Description:A police officer fatally shot a wanted parolee Thursday when the suspect appeared to be reaching for a concealed weapon following a foot chase in the College area, authorities reported. The San Diego police officer opened fire just before 1 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 5400 block of Reservoir Drive, just east of San Diego State University, according to SDPD public-affairs Lt.
