SoCal Officer Killed After Slamming Car Into Concrete Pillar

Description:The Costa Mesa Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own, who died in a crash while off-duty. The accident happened around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday at Newport Boulevard and Bristol Street, right under the 55 Freeway. The off-duty officer was reportedly alone in his vehicle when he slammed into a concrete pillar beneath the freeway. (1:47)
