Snow Falls in New Zealand

Description:Heavy snow fell in and around the city of Christchurch on New Zealand's South Island on Wednesday (June 6) forcing the closure of some schools and roads in the region, Television New Zealand reported. Forecasters predicted up to 15 centimetres (5.9 inches) will fall in Christchurch by the end of Wednesday and up to 100 centimetres (39.37 inches) in the Marlborough and north Canterbury regions. One tourist from Texas said he was delighted with the weather because it doesn't snow there. (0:53)
