Description:An 18-year-old male has been shot in the leg near Joplin Elementary School on the city’s south side, with stray gunfire breaking through a closed window of an occupied classroom, according to the Chicago Police Department. No children were hurt in the incident. Bullet hole in the window of Joplin Elementary School The shooting took place around 1 pm Monday at 1849 W. 79th Street. Police took three men into custody.
