Description:On our way to meet Saddam, two years after the Persian Gulf War, we talked with Iraqi people - car salesmen, fish mongers, shopkeepers, doctors, and a group of Iraqi Jews inside their quiet synagogue. There might be a blockade, but the streets of Baghdad were jumping and gasoline ran like water. Meanwhile, the sight of children's dying bodies ravaged by war and hospitals unable to get badly needed medicines remind us of the devastation wrought on this area during the war. (41:38)
