Raw Sewage Spill Contaminating San Diego Beaches

Description:Recreational water activities were prohibited at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA today because of a weekend sewage spill. About 6,200 gallons of sewage poured from a blocked manhole at Encinitas Boulevard and Vulcan Street from late Sunday morning until early Sunday afternoon, according to city officials, who said the sewage flowed into a storm drain that leads to the popular beach.
