Pitbull Stabbed To Death During Attack

Description:A dog owner saved his pet by killing an attacking pit bull with a knife, police said. The man was walking his Labrador retriever less than a block from his home in the 3600 block of 37th Street at around 8 p.m. when a large pit bull began barking menacingly from behind a fence, San Diego police Lt. Paul Rorrison said. The dog leapt against the fence and eventually broke through it, Rorrison said. (2:08)
