One Dead, Three Injured In High Rise Fire

Description:One person is dead after a 3-alarm fire in South Shore, Tuesday morning. A fire broke out just before 9 a.m. in a high rise located at 6730 South Shore Drive. Chicago Fire Department says the fire broke out on the 8th floor and was quickly upgraded to a 3-alarm fire and a Plan 2, which calls for 10 ambulances. Three people were taken to area hospitals in critical condition, one person has been confirmed dead, according to the medical examiner. (0:58)
