Her parents were notified days after about the incident in a letter, apologizing and promising change. “The lady said that she had checked the vehicle even though she didn't,” said James Maxson, the girl’s father. This isn’t the first time this kind of incident happened. In November 2010, Nebraska Health and Human Services investigated a complaint about a 2-year-old left in a Little Lambs van for five hours.
