Description:The Cook County Sheriff's Department is trying a new approach to find out if serial killer John Wayne Gacy had more victims.
Authorities are using Gacy's DNA to see if it matches any other cases in which DNA is known to exist. The will county coroners office had vials of Gacy's blood in storage from when Gacy was executed in 1994.
But until now, the blood had not been used for DNA testing in unsolved crimes.(0:38)
