Memorial for Beloved Knut

Description:A model of the memorial to the world's most famous polar bear. Knut, who won global fame as a cute cub, was hand-reared by his Berlin Zoo keeper Thomas Doerflein. But the four-year-old bear died in March 2011 in front of horrified visitors. The zoo has commissioned sculptor Josef Tabachnyk to create the memorial. The statue will depict Knut in a resting pose, a typical position says zoo director, Bernhard Blaszkiewitz. (1:05)
