Five Killed as Taliban Attack U.S. Base

Description:Troops on high alert in Afghanistan following a deadly attack on a US military base. Three Afghan soliders and two civilians died when insurgents assaulted this compound, located in the eastern city of Jalalabad. The battle lasted one - two hours, and left a trail of carnage outside the base, which houses U.S. and other NATO troops. A spokesman for the International Security Assistance Force said while the attack was serious, militants were not able to breach the base. (0:53)
