Endangered Whale Washes Ashore In New York City

Description:A 60-foot (18.28 meters) Finback whale was found beached Wednesday (December 26) along Jamaica Bay in Breezy Point, Queens, New York City. The Riverhead Foundation sent rescuers to try to aid the whale but they said the prognosis doesn't look good. "Right now it looks like an animal that's just compromised. It's usually a very poor outcome," Riverhead Foundation executive director Rob DiGiovanni said. (1:10)
