Debate Focus Group: American Small Businesses

Description:The focus group felt Romney appeared competent on this issue, whereas Obama appeared nervous and not confident. Obama seemed to be afraid, Romney seemed strong, but also condescending and smug. People felt Romney's appeal to and knowledge of small business shows he understands what those businesses are going through, but ultimately presidents are limited -- 'they cannot make jobs happen on their own.'
