Daily Digit: 370,000 Jobless Claims

Description:The Daily Digit today is 370,000. That's the number of Americans who filed new claims for unemployment benefits last week. It's a level not seen since before superstorm Sandy and it marks the third straight decilne in weekly jobless claims. Economists had forecast the number of claims would fall to just 380,000. Today's lower number suggests the U.S. economy may be returning to modest job growth after a set back from Sandy. (0:52)
