Costumed Skiers Compete in Slope Run With Cold-Water Dive

Description:Georgia's Gudauri ski resort in the Caucasus Mountains played host to an unusual winter sporting event on Saturday (March 16) with skiers in costumes racing downhill to end their run in a pool of cold water. The Red Bull Jump and Freeze contest drew 24 ski and snowboard teams who wore costumes ranging from Super Man, to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to a giant red and yellow-coloured fish, in an event that saw participants rushing down a snow-covered hill and jumping into a cold pool of water.
