Description:A convicted murderer from Indiana is on the loose because of some bad paperwork in Cook County.
Steven Robbins killed a man in 2002 after a fight at a party.
He isn’t eligible for parole for another 16 years; but Cook County had an old 1992 warrant for Robbins in a separate case.
He went to court Wednesday, and the charge was dropped; then he was sent back to the Cook County jail, and he was supposed to return to a prison in Indiana.(0:59)
