Construction Worker Crushed By Steel Beam On 405 Freeway

Description:A construction worker was killed in an accident Thursday morning on an off-ramp to the 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles. It happened around 2:20 a.m. on the Santa Monica Boulevard off-ramp of the southbound 405, according to the California Highway Patrol. Crews were using a crane to off-load a 3 1/2-ton steel beam when some sort of accident happened and the beam fell onto one of the workers. (2:25)
