Child Abduction Case Leads To Police Shooting

Description:Police officers shot a man suspected of abducting his two-year-old child and striking an officer with his vehicle. Illinois State Police were searching for the man, who reportedly abducted the child from a suburb. Harrison District Police spotted the man’s vehicle in the parking lot of a Church’s Chicken restaurant on 1151 S. Independence in the Lawndale neighborhood on Sunday evening. Authorities say the suspect was known to purchase narcotics in that area. (2:36)
