Description:Barcelona captain Carles Puyol told the media on Thursday (December 20) that coach Tito Vilanova's surgery had gone well. The Catalan giants were rocked by Wednesday's news that Vilanova needed surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy over the following six weeks. Vilanova was out of action for around three weeks after surgery on his saliva glands last year but returned to the dugout to help former coach Pep Guardiola for the last six months of the 2011-12 campaign.
