Australian Police End Prison Riot

Description:Australian police use tear gas and water cannons to quash a prison riot in the early hours of Thursday morning. The demonstration began when 11 inmates climbed onto a roof at Fulham Correctional Centre in Victoria. The prisoners were apparently upset over the possibility of losing the right to watch digital television. Inmates were also angered by a move requiring them to use soft flexible toothbrushes over fears that regular toothbrushes could be used to craft weapons. (0:55)
