Archaeologists Discover Pre-Hispanic Structures and Human Remains in Mexico City
Description:Archaeologists in Mexico have discovered the remains of at least 12 people, mostly infants, as well as several pre-Columbian structures, in a Mexico City neighbourhood. Researchers from Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History believe the remains date from around 1200-1300 AD. The structures found here are believed to be the remains of a ceremonial compound, in part because the remains are near a known pre-Hispanic religious structure.(1:07)
