Fresh from a whirlwind tour of the U.S., Prince William and Duchess Kate got back to normal life in Britain, and even got little Prince George in the Christmas spirit. People reports the proud parents took the one-year-old to an English county fair for a typical yuletide tradition: meeting Santa Claus.

The royals visited the town of Thursford, which is near their country home, for its annual Santa's Magical Journey exhibit. They arranged a quick private visit, but reportedly got no other special treatment. They spent about 45 minutes checking out the twinkling lights and holiday displays, but didn't stop for any photo ops.

When Prince George met Father Christmas himself, he got a preview of Christmas gifts to come: a wooden toy train, which all the other kids received as well. It's only the most recent holiday trip for the little prince, who reportedly visited London's Hyde Park for its Winter Wonderland celebration last week.

And just like Mom, little George is becoming quite a fashion icon this holiday season. He recently posed for official portraits in a darling sweater vest by designer Cath Kidson. The look was so popular that even though it's already sold out, the company is considering making more.
