Traffic alert: Truck fire shuts down southbound lanes on Florida’s Turnpike

If you’re headed southbound on Florida’s Turnpike in the Doral area, be ready to hit the brakes Wednesday afternoon.

As of 1 p.m., the right lane at Exit 29 near Northwest 41st Street in Doral is blocked off due to a burning semitruck. Traffic is backed up beyond Exit 31 near Northwest 74th Street.

Florida 511 footage shows a buildup of traffic as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
