Turkey Burgers with Spicy Pickle Sauce

Take a cue from the White House and craft these juicy and delicious turkey burgers. To downsize and create sliders, simply decrease the amount of meat per patty prior to cooking.

Who welcomes over 14,000 guests, hosts 24 holiday parties and serves Burdick Chocolates this holiday season? None other than 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, which marks the address of the United States White House.

The Burdick Chocolates, crafted in New Hampshire, are President Barack Obama's favorite, and they come shaped like penguins and mice. In fact, according to General Manager of L.A. Burdick Chocolate, Cathy Watson, 1,000 chocolates are being shipped to The White House each week of December 2012.

The white and dark chocolates are only a small fraction of the White House's holiday menu. This year, many of the dishes are credited to the First Lady, Michelle Obama, and her cookbook (published last year), American Grown.

According to Obamafoodorama, the options on the table are versatile, making sure all guests have something to choose from at the plentiful buffets. The holiday menu so far consists of sweet potato quick bread, turkey sliders, roasted potatoes, shrimp cocktail, a wide variety of cheeses, dinner rolls and biscuits, and to top it off, two recipes from American Grown, green beans with almonds and a winter salad.
