Josh Scherer, a student at UCLA, recently posted a recipe for a ramen donut on his blog Culinary Brodown. His "ramnut " quickly became an Internet sensation.

According to Scherer's blog, the Ramnut recipe is pretty simple and only requires six packs of instant ramen, three eggs, 64 ounces of prepared horchata, nonstick spray and oil for frying in addtiion to frostings, fillings and toppings.

Scherer explained his inspiration to the LA Times. "Everyone is trying to make the new ramen burger. There's ramen pizza, ramen tacos, ramen lasagna, ramen grilled cheese, but no one has actually gone sweet. So I figured why not try my hand at it?"
