Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte Will Be Back Sooner Than You Think

Fall is filled with delicious flavors. Among the abundance of squash, apples and pumpkin-flavored everything is the excitement around Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte. Even though the popular Starbucks beverage is typically associated with the brisk fall and cold winter months, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is returning to the Starbucks menu before Labor Day this year.

That's right, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is coming back on August 25th. The beloved beverage turns 10 this year, so what better way to celebrate the nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin-flavored drink then with an early return? This announcement was delivered via the Pumpkin Spice Latte Twitter account. The drink tweeted "18 days until I'm back from vacay. Get ready to 'fall' in love all over again." The punny tweet was met with much enthusiasm from followers and general excitement from all PSL fans. Even though the Pumpkin Spice Latte is coming back when it's still officially summer, you can get the drink iced!

According to The Daily Meal, the Pumpkin Spice Latte was invented because Starbucks noticed its seasonal drinks like the Eggnog Latte and the Peppermint Mocha Latte were very successful. They decided to expand their seasonal beverages into autumn. After brainstorming beverages with chocolate and caramel flavor, they settled on a pumpkin spice drink. Now it's Starbucks' most popular seasonal beverage of all time.

If August 25th can't come soon enough, try making your own pumpkin spice latte at home. You can even get super creative and learn how to make pumpkin spice latte scones.
