Three-Pear Maple Crumble

Three-Pear Maple Crumble

Ingredients

  • 6 pears, halved, cored and diced (I used Bosc, Bartlett, and Asian varieties)
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 11/2 cup oats
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup (used Crown Maple)
  • 1/2 cup your favorite granola
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat to 350°F. Grease a 12-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl add the pears, raisins, cinnamon, 1 cup oats, and ½ cup maple syrup.  Stir until pears are evenly coated.  Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  3. To make the topping, in a small bowl, stir together the granola, brown sugar, remaining ½ cup oats, and remaining ¼ cup maple syrup.  Sprinkle the topping evenly over the pear mixture.
  4. Cover baking dish in tin foil and bake for 30 minutes.  Uncover the crumble and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the topping is crisp and golden brown and the filling bubbles.  Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
