How to Set A Christmas Brunch Table

Bring holiday magic to the brunch table with these unique decorating ideas, including a spectacular donut tree, from KD Contributor Coryanne Ettiene of Kitchen Living With Coryanne!

"Somewhere between those endless evening invitations and the long linger holiday luncheons we all love stands this neglected hour where rules are just tossed out the window," shares Coryanne. "Some people call this brunch. I like to call it the witching hour because frankly anything is possible—especially when you've got a donut tree."

To make her winter wonderland centerpiece, Coryanne nestles a wide and flat platter on top of a berry birdnest and scatters pine cones around the table. She fills the platter with fake snow, and then nestles a wood pillar in the center to serve as the donut tree's pedestal. Around the pedestal, she decorates with votive candle holders and small frosted tree figurines.

Now for the fun part of assembling the donut tree! You'll need a Styrofoam cone, wooden picks and donut holes (the white powdered ones are perfect for a holiday brunch). Starting at the base of the cone, pierce the cone's surface with a wooden pick and then attach a donut hole. Repeat, spiraling around cone, until the entire surface is covered with donut holes. Voila—this sweet centerpiece will be the star of your brunch table!
