CiCi's Pizza polled 1,000 people and discovered that the average American eats a whopping 6,000 slices in a lifetime!

The survey found that a third of the participants ate pizza at least once a week, while one in 10 enjoyed as many as three slices up to three times a week. Huge fans of pizza can eat more than 15 slices a month!

The survey found that more than half of the participants preferred a meaty pie. In terms of toppings, pepperoni was the most popular, followed by mushrooms, sausage and extra cheese.

One in three people surveyed said they preferred thin crust pizza, but the rest said they didn't care much about the crust.
