How to Make an Herb Gimlet
Learn how to make a refreshing and delicious Herb Gimlet, the ultimate seasonal cocktail.
Start by making your Herb Simple Syrup.
Heat ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water in a saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar fully dissolves. Remove the pan from the heat and add 3 sprigs of mint, 3 sprigs of tarragon, 3 sprigs of lemon thyme and a 1-inch lemon strip.
Transfer this to a bowl and place uncovered in the fridge until it is cool. Once the syrup has cooled, transfer to an airtight container for up to two weeks.
Add ice to a cocktail shaker.
Then add the 2 oz. gin.
Time for 1 oz. lime juice!
Next, add ¾ oz. of your Herb Simple Syrup.
Lastly, add 2 dashes of celery bitters.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with mint leaves and lemon twist and enjoy!
