How to Make Grilled Chimichurri Steak for Father's Day


With Father's Day around the corner, it's time to start planning a tasty meal for Dad. Since the weather is getting nicer, grilling is a lovely seasonal option. If your dad loves steak, why not try something different? This Grilled Chimicurri Steak recipe will make for a delicious and unique meal for a special occasion like Father's Day.

Wondering what chimichurri sauce is? Chimichurri is a spicy green marinade that originated in Argentina. It often consists of parsley and other herbs, minced garlic, olive oil and red or white wine. In many Latin and South American countries, chimichurri sauce is typically served with grilled meat, which makes it an ideal sauce to accompany your barbecue for Dad.

First combine extra virgin olive oil, lime juice, garlic and spices to make a marinade for the steak. While that is marinating, make the chimichurri sauce by blending parsley, cilantro, garlic, capers, salt, chili flakes, sherry vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive
2 Tbsp lime juice
4 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp coarse salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1 lb top sirloin

1 cup parsley
1/2 cup cilantro
2 garlic cloves
2 Tbsp capers
1/2 tsp coarse salt
1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1/2 cup sherry vinegar
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
